Welcome by Councillor Barry McElduff, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council
As Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, I am delighted that Festival Lough Erne is returning and that it will be running for one week this year. The Festival showcases much that is exciting and appealing about County Fermanagh. The unique and natural environment of Fermanagh with beautiful landscapes and the natural waterways, as well as, the abundance of local produce and heritage in our District. This year’s programme is currently being finalised, however, it will once again include a variety of events to suit all interests. The planned activities include water sports, heritage walks, dining events and nature activities to name but a few. New events in this year’s programme will include Erne Kestrel Day Trips, various food related events at Tullly Mill, Florencecourt and opportunities to explore our stunning Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Geopark. I sincerely hope that you all enjoy the programme and I would encourage you to take the opportunity to explore the wonderful Fermanagh Lakelands.”
The full programme of activities is currently being finalised and will be unveiled in the next few weeks. However, with a renewed interest in our waterways and the great outdoors and the appeal of staycations, there is certain to be something for everyone.
We are delighted to once again work with Enniskillen BID who have kindly sponsored the event and supported by Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism
Enjoy the programme and enjoy the wonderful Fermanagh Lakelands.
